Dior Lip Glow Butter Review Swatch

Here is my Dior Lip Glow Butter review based on my personal experience. I tested three shades. Black Cherry, Glazed Lavender, and Lychee. I used them on different days and in different situations. After enough wear time, I have a clear opinion on this product.

Dior Lip Glow Butter is a hybrid lip product. It feels like a lip balm but looks like a lip gloss. The texture is very soft and buttery. It melts on the lips right after application. I experienced instant comfort. It never feels sticky or heavy. I can wear it for hours without discomfort.

This formula gives more color than Dior Lip Oil. If you want hydration with visible tint, this performs better. My lips look healthier and more alive. It feels nourishing and soothing.

Formula and Texture

The formula is creamy and smooth. It spreads very easily on the lips. I do not need to use much product. One layer is enough for color and shine. It gives instant moisture.

My lips feel soft right away. This is a great option if you have dry or sensitive lips. I noticed that hydration stays even after the shine fades. My lips still feel comfortable later in the day.

Compared to Lip Oil, this formula feels more balanced. It is not slippery or messy. It stays in place better. I enjoy using it more for daily wear.

Dior Lip Glow Butter Black Cherry

Black Cherry is a deep berry brown red shade. On my lips, it looks rich but still natural. Many people compare it to Clinique Black Honey. I agree, but they are not the same.

The Dior version is more brown and slightly warmer. It gives a soft stained look. I experienced a very flattering tint that works well with minimal makeup. It is perfect for everyday wear if you like deeper shades.

This shade enhances my natural lip color. It never looks harsh. It gives depth without looking heavy.

Dior Lip Glow Butter Glazed Lavender

Glazed Lavender is very soft and pretty. It has a light lavender tone. In the tube, it looks pale. On the lips, it looks fresh and cool.

This shade has tiny shimmers inside. They are very subtle and They are not chunky or glittery. They reflect light gently. My lips look glossy and smooth.

I experienced a clean and fresh look with this shade. It is great for no makeup makeup days. It adds shine and softness without strong color.

Dior Lip Glow Butter Lychee

Lychee has the most pigment out of the three shades. It is a bright pink. In the tube, it looks bold. On the lips, it looks softer.

It gives a healthy and lively look. My lips look naturally flushed. It is not too strong or overpowering. I can wear it easily during the day.

This shade is great if you want visible color with hydration. It instantly brightens the face.

Color Payoff and Finish

All three shades are very wearable. The color payoff is soft but noticeable. You can build the color with more layers, but I prefer one or two swipes.

The finish is glossy but not sticky. It gives that juicy lip look. Lips appear smooth and plump. The formula does not settle into lines.

Longevity and Wear

Longevity is decent for a balm type product. It does not last longer than Dior Lip Oil. However, it feels more comfortable than Lip Oil.

The shine fades first. The tint stays for a few hours. I do need to reapply during the day. This is expected for this type of product.

What I like is that hydration remains even after the color fades. My lips never feel dry. That is a big plus for me.

The product wears down evenly. It does not leave patches. Reapplication is easy.

Packaging Experience

The packaging is my biggest disappointment. The tube is plastic. It does not feel luxurious. For a product from Dior, I expected more.

The Dior charm on the tube looks cute. But overall, the packaging feels basic. It does not match the price point. It feels more like a mid range product.

That said, the tube is lightweight and easy to use. It just does not give that luxury feeling.

Comparison to Dior Lip Oil

I personally prefer Lip Glow Butter over Dior Lip Oil. This one gives more color. It feels less messy. It is not sticky.

Lip Oil can feel slippery and thick. Lip Glow Butter feels smoother and more controlled. For daily use, I reach for this one more.

Overall Impression

Overall, Dior Lip Glow Butter is a very good lip product. The formula is comfortable. The hydration is excellent. The shades are flattering and easy to wear.

Packaging is not luxury level. That is the main downside. But the performance of the product itself is strong.

If you care more about formula than packaging, you will enjoy Dior Lip Glow Butter. It is perfect for hydrated lips with soft color and shine.
